When harvesting and maintaining kiwifruit vines, poor hygiene practices can lead to the contamination of the fruit and the vines.

At harvest, there are a number of important aspects to hygiene, particularly around cleanliness of bins/storage facilities, and around water quality and hand-washing.

At all times standard hygiene practices are expected to be implemented and maintained.
