It is important that children and young people only work in environments that keep them safe and protect their development.

You are responsible for ensuring that you show compliance with national legislation regarding the minimum age of employment. 

If you have young workers, you must ensure that:

  • no worker under the age of 18 is engaged in night work (10pm-6am) or tasks that are hazardous in nature.

  • supervisors have been informed on the requirements of legal ages and are aware of what they need to do if workers under the age of 18 are found working.
