Fertiliser Storage
It is important that you have a fertiliser stock inventory system. This system must record stock movement (i.e. the purchase and use of stock) and ensure that products which pose a risk to food safety and have a limited shelf life are used correctly.
Fertilisers and bio stimulants must be stored appropriately, ensuring that:
-
They are stored separately from agrichemicals and any fruit
-
Cross contamination is prevented
-
They are stored at least 25m from water sources
-
Measures are taken to prevent water sources from pollution
-
They are clearly identified on a property/orchard map (obtain a copy(s) from the grower)
