Frequently Asked Questions
To register go to https://industry.zespri.com and click Packaging. Navigate to the New Suppliers section and read Zespri’s requirements for supplying packaging products. If you believe you qualify, you can click Request Now and fill out the form. A Zespri Packaging team member will review your details and contact you to discuss next steps. Please note this request can take up to 3-5 business days to process.
If you have already completed the Request Access form and a Zespri representative has confirmed your suitability, you will receive an e-mail from Industry@zespri.com with a unique link to login to the site for the first time. If you do not have this e-mail, please contact Zespri.

Registered suppliers should have received an e-mail from Industry@zespri.com with a unique link to login for the first time and set a password. If you did not receive this e-mail, contact Zespri. Note, you only should use this link the first time you login and set a password. Going forward, go straight to the site and login there.
The returning user login is in the top right corner of the homepage.
If you are brand new to supplying packaging products to Zespri, please follow the instructions for new suppliers.
Have you registered as a packaging supplier before?
- If yes, you should have received an e-mail from Industry@zespri.com with a unique link to login and set a password. Check your spam or junk folder if you do not have this e-mail. If you cannot find it, contact Zespri to have the e-mail re-sent. The returning user login is in the top right corner of the homepage.
- If no, you will need to first register your interest with Zespri.
Other helpful tips:
- Some web browsers do not work well for this site. We recommend using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
- Ad-blockers or pop-up blockers can prevent some content from showing. Turn these off for this site if you have one on.
- If you have recently changed the password for your Microsoft e-mail account, it has also changed here. You will need to enter the most up to date password for your Microsoft account.
If you have access to the Canopy site, remember this is a different site, so your password might be different to the one you set up for the Canopy site.
Click Login and enter your email address, then click the “Can’t access your account?” link and follow the prompts. A temporary password will be sent to your linked e-mail account, which you can use to login and reset your password.
Note: Zespri does not have any way to assist with resetting your password, as this is a Microsoft-hosted website.
If you can’t find the password reset e-mail in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder first.
If you still do not receive the password reset e-mail, you will need to reset it with Microsoft. As this is a Microsoft-hosted website, Zespri cannot reset passwords.
Older versions of web browsers are not supported. You can either:
- Click the link to update your browser, or…
- Click “Continue to site.” Be aware that if you continue to the site without updating your browser, some of the links or images might not work properly.
We recommend updating your browser before continuing, and we strongly recommend using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
Login and click Update Details. You can change details about yourself as an individual (in the “My Details” section) or the Organisations you manage (in the “Organisations” section).
Click the Request Update button and make the changes. This can be done any time of year.
Note that certain key fields are not editable including first and last name, email address, and company number. If you need to change one of those fields, please contact Zespri.
The portal shows you what details Zespri has on hand for you as an individual and for your organisation.
The organisation details will often show information of the primary contact, so instead of a generic email it might show another contact at your organisation.
This is correct, however if you want to update this, contact Zespri.
You can update most information for yourself and your organisation by clicking “Request Update” and changing the information.
Note you cannot change first or last name, email, or company number, so you will need to contact Zespri to change these fields.
After you have made changes, refresh the browser to see the updated information.
You can keep your details up-to-date throughout the year, but once a year you will need to complete the formal registration process within your region’s registration period.
Login using your email and password. Note: if this is your first time logging into the site, you must use the email from Industry@Zespri.com and follow the unique link to login and set a password.
Click Update Details, Organisations, and then Packaging tab. Note: if you do not see the Packaging tab, scroll to the right on the tabs section, and ensure you are in Organisations, not My Details.
Once on the Packaging tab, complete the steps in this order:
- Request New Packaging Arrangement – select which products you manufacture, or distribute per manufacturer, for the supply year. You will need to provide all documentation <please bookmark to “What documents do I need to provide as part of my registration?> in this step, in PDF format. If you do not have one of the documents, tick “Not Provided” and give a reason in the space provided. Please note that all food safety documents are required, and failure to provide them may result in your registration being rejected or delayed. You should repeat this step for each manufacturer you supply product for.
- Add Packhouses Supplied To – once you have uploaded your documents, select as many products per manufacturer that you supply and list the packhouses for those products. Repeat this step for as many products as you supply to packhouses.
- Complete Packaging Registration – only after you have completed steps 1 and 2, click the Packaging Registration button, fill out the information, and click Submit. Zespri will review your documents, request further information if needed and email you a confirmation of your completed registration. Note: if you do not see the Packaging Registration button, that means the Registration window is not open.

After you identify all packaging products supplied, submit all documents requested (or enter reasons for any documents not provided), identify packhouses supplied to, and complete the packaging registration section, a representative from Zespri will review all your information and documents.
If necessary, Zespri will request review from our Food Safety Specialist. If any of your documents are missing, incomplete, or incorrect, we will notify you. If everything is acceptable, you will receive an email notifying you of your successful registration for the supply year.
The documents you need to provide depend on whether you manufacture your own products or distribute on behalf of another manufacturer as the primary distributor or not.
To see a list of required and optional documents for your products and supply arrangement, go to the Required Registration Documents table on the Resources page. If you have any questions about these documents, you can contact Zespri.
All compulsory documents are required; your registration will be rejected without them. If you are missing an optional document, tick Not Provided and give an explanation. See the Required Registration Documents table on the Resources page to see which documents are compulsory, and which are optional.
It is recommended that you upload your documents all at once, instead of sending them through as you receive them. If you do not have a required document, you need to wait until you do, and enter all documents at once. If you do receive a document after you have already registered, send a separate email - visit contact Zespri.
If a document expires throughout the year, simply upload the current one at time of registration and send a separate email when you have received the updated document - visit contact Zespri.
Provide all the documents that you have in your registration before you begin production and if you are missing a document, tick Not Provided and give an explanation.
Depending on the situation, you may be able to start production without a certain document. Zespri will get in contact to discuss further, and if you have questions before submitting your registration, contact Zespri.
Electronic signatures will be accepted in most cases. If there is a question about your document’s signature, you will be contacted by Zespri.
Login, click Update Details, and select Organisations. Scroll to the right and click the Packaging tab, and then the Request New Packaging Arrangement button.
On Step 1, you should select “I distribute products from another manufacturer.” Type in the name of the first manufacturer, and complete this step by selecting the products, listing any offsite storage locations, and then move to Step 2 to upload the related documents.
Click Submit and repeat these steps for as many manufacturers as you distribute products. Note that you will need to upload documents for each manufacturer, and re-upload your own organisation’s documents as requested.
Login, click Update Details, and select Organisations. Scroll to the right and click the Packaging tab, and then the Request New Packaging Arrangement button. On the first screen, you should select “I manufacture my own products” and complete this step by selecting the products, listing any offsite storage locations, and uploading the related documents. Click Submit.
Click Request New Packaging Arrangement again. This time select “I distribute products from another manufacturer,” type in the name of the manufacturer, and complete this step. Click Submit when finished and repeat this step for as many manufacturers as you distribute products. Note that you will need to upload manufacturer documents, and re-upload your own organisation’s documents as requested.
Combine the pest control documents for all warehouses into one PDF. You can use a free, online PDF stitching tool such as https://smallpdf.com to combine multiple PDFs into one PDF document.
If you have physical pest control documents, you can use a scanner to scan all the documents one after the other and click “Done Scanning” only after you’ve scanned them all. This will combine all the documents into one PDF file, which you can then email to yourself to save and upload.
If you clicked Request New Packaging Arrangement and cannot upload documents, ensure you are using either a Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser, as other browsers may not allow you to upload documents.
If you cannot access the Request New Packaging Arrangement button, ensure you are logged in, under the Organisations section (not the My Details section), and on the Packaging tab.
In some cases, multiple suppliers distribute the same product from the same manufacturer. In these cases, one supplier has been appointed as the primary distributor and is responsible for providing certain manufacturer documents.
Primary distributors have been notified by Zespri, and can find which documents are required in the Required Registration Documents table on the Resources page.
If you store products in a facility at a different address than your main facility, you must list that in the Request New Packaging Arrangement step by ticking Stored in Warehouse and providing the name and address.
Any onsite storage locations do not need to be listed in this step if they share the same address as your facility.
Extruded plastic refers to rolls of non-formed plastic, not yet formed into pocket packs. Plastic pocket packs are already formed packs.
Please contact Zespri to discuss this first, to ensure the products are tested and meet Zespri’s requirements. You must not distribute any new products without first seeking approval and registering the products.
Some resources are available for anyone to view, without a login required. Other resources are sensitive and specific to your role and are only available to view after you’ve logged in. Ensure you are logged in to view these resources.
Once you have completed your registration, all documents and information will be sent to Zespri for review. This review can take a while, as some documents require checks by a Food Safety Specialist. You will receive a confirmation email once your registration is completed for the supply year and you should then be able to view your documents under the Organisation section, by clicking the Documents tab. If you cannot view your documents and you have already received your registration completion confirmation, contact Zespri.
