2024 Registration

To ensure Zespri meets Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) requirements both within New Zealand and offshore the following changes have been implemented for the 2024 Kiwifruit season.   

Before you start your registration, ensure that you have all documents required for each manufacturer listed in the "Required Registration Documents by Packaging Products 2022" (log on and select resources to see this document).

Save each document with the right naming convention "Registration Company Name Declaration Year" as a PDF file.

Your registration can not be saved so you need to make sure you have time to upload all documents at one time. Once all documents have been saved only then can you log in to complete your registration.     

You must use Declaration of Compliance templates for FOOD CONTACT or NON FOOD CONTACT (log on and select resources to see this document).

Food Safety Products must be Compliant to the following:

USFDA, EU, and GB China Regulations as per outlined in our Statement of Compliance (log on and select resources to see this document). 

This must be completed by a person with appropriate authority to bind.             

 

 

The following certificates and documents are required to register for each category:

MANUFACTURERS 

Declaration of Compliance - Template in Resource section of this website for FOOD CONTACT and NON FOOD CONTACT to be supplied on Manufacturer's letterhead. 

GFSI Certificate (Food Contact products only) e.g. BRC or FSSC 22000 etc.

If you do not have a GFSI Certificate then you must also provide:

Pest Control Audit Report including site map - Apr/May/June

Traceability Document - see Template in Resource section of this website

Material Specification Sheet

FSC /PEFC Compliance Certificate (For all paper/wood products)

DISTRIBUTOR - AGENT & BROKER (company processing Custom Clearance documents for products entering into New Zealand)

Declaration of Compliance - Template in Resource section of this website for FOOD CONTACT and NON FOOD CONTACT to be supplied on Distributor's letterhead. 

GFSI Certificate for Agent & Broker: (if you do not have a GFSI Certificate then you will need to list all your manufacturers BRC Site Numbers in your Declaration of Compliance and also provide:

Pest Control Audit Report including site map - Apr/May/June

Traceability Document - see Template in Resource section of this website

WAREHOUSE (plus secondary distributor within New Zealand*) only

Pest Control Audit Report including site map - Apr/May/June

* purchased product from an Agent or Broker within NZ - not ex manufacturer
