Someone must be visually checking that hygiene procedures are being followed. Records are not required to be kept.

Workers must be observed carrying out hand-washing, as per the hygiene instructions.

Anyone who is suffering from diarrhoea, vomiting or have a fever must report to the supervisor and be excluded from handling fruit. Staff must be symptom-free for at least 48 hours before returning to work.
-
Anyone diagnosed with notifiable disease must report this to the supervisor and be excluded from the work place until given a clearance by Health Professionals.
Emergency Procedures
-
Your workers will also be asked what the emergency procedures are (i.e. where to find the first aid kit, who has first aid training, where the nearest phone is)
-
Their answers must reflect the health and safety procedures and the accident and emergency procedures for the contractor, which should have been included in your workers’ training.
